Our commitment to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 12, Responsible Consumption and Production, is at the core of our business operations. We wholeheartedly embrace eco-friendly materials and sustainable waste management practices to reduce environmental impact and promote responsible consumption.
Our certified biodegradable phone and AirPod cases, along with our laptop and tablet sleeves made from jute, exemplify our dedication to using materials that leave no lasting negative impact on the environment. Similarly, we also actively minimise waste during packing and shipping, using soy-based ink, recycled packaging, and the most carbon-efficient transport in deference to our goal of leaving no lasting, negative impact.
Minimising Our Environmental Footprint
We take a holistic approach to minimise our environmental footprint throughout the entire production process in accordance to SDG 13, Climate Action. By carefully controlling production volumes, we prevent overproduction and subsequent waste generation.
Our waste management practices ensure that our products and packaging materials are either compostable or recyclable, contributing to a virtually waste-free production. Additionally, we prioritise environmentally sound chemical management and collaborate with manufacturers who adhere to stringent environmental regulations, as verified by Sedex audits.
We understand the concerns surrounding packaging and its impact on the environment. To address this, we have chosen to use soy-based ink for both our products and packaging, offering a more eco-friendly alternative to traditional ink. Prioritising supplier transparency and incorporating specific requirements in our supplier code of conduct ensures responsible sourcing and promotes sustainable and ethical practices throughout our supply chain.
Offsetting Carbon Emissions
We recognise the importance of carbon offsetting and actively invest in projects like the Eden Reforestation Project to balance out our greenhouse gas emissions. Choosing mangrove trees as a key component of our carbon offsetting efforts allows us to harness their unique qualities as highly efficient carbon sinks. Mangroves sequester substantial amounts of carbon dioxide, helping us combat climate change and contribute to a sustainable future in accordance with SDG 15, Life of Land.
Supporting Decent Work and Economic Growth
SDG 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth, is another focal point for us. We prioritise the well-being and equitable treatment of our employees, rigorously evaluating manufacturing partners through comprehensive audits to ensure safe working conditions and fair wages.
